The idea for this tap design was conceived around the issues with cleaning LS head bolt holes. There were existing tools, however they are single use . The taps you see on this site have a drive diameter smaller than the tap  and are designed to use standard ratchet extensions and drives The result is a configurable length tap that can be used in confined spaces as well as any depth blind hole you can reach with a ratchet extension.
